This overall scheme comprises of the demolition of existing block and construction of new classroom and toilet block along with associated external works. A tricky project that threw horrendous weather our way along with extremely tight working space. We completed our package as the main contractor on site allowing the project to finish on time as per the programme of works.

Excavated reduce levels remaining ground within proposed circulation block extension footprint and excavated ground beams. All excavated materials were carted away from site using our own grab wagons / tippers to speed the process and get ahead of the programme.

 Alterations to existing drainage as well as trenches and new drainage runs to feed the new toilet block.

 Reinforced concrete perimeter edge beam laid with 150kg reinforcement steel per cubic metre of concrete laid to each gridline with a concrete upstand for curtain walling and bolt boxes in place.

 Excavation and installation of new lift pit formed in waterproof concrete with reinforcement to lift pit walls and mesh placed centrally to lift pit base.

 New concrete 200mm reinforced concrete slab to be laid on 150mm well compacted stone and 1no layer of visqueen.

 New retaining wall including reinforced concrete underpinning to retaining wall base with 2no layers of mesh throughout.

 New service trench runs for incoming main gas including for all excavations, disposal, sand bed and surround and backfilling with type 1 hardcore.

 New footpath and ramps including reinforced concrete steps down to footpath level.

 ACO drainage, 3no straight swap new manholes as well as a brand-new manhole to be built into the existing sewer using our NRSWA tickets.
